La carte Whisper Agent, de l'édition Guilds of Ravnica, présente une erreur d'impression significative dans sa version française : il manque toute la première partie de son nom dans son titre, ne subsistant ainsi que "chuchotements".
La carte Soulbright Seeker est une référence à Soulbright Flamekin de par son nom, son type de créature, ses force et endurance et sa capacité activée.
Les capacités d'Épuisement de Loot, the Pathfinder font référence au premier cycle de cartes de Magic (voir cette anecdote) de par leur coût d'activation et leur effet : les capacités coûtant 
et 
correspondent directement à Ancestral Recall (sauf si on fait piocher un adversaire!) et Lightning Bolt, tandis que la capacité coûtant 
est quant à elle un mélange entre Dark Ritual et Black Lotus (thématiquement proche du cycle), la production de mana de n'importe quelle couleur étant plus adaptée à la couleur verte selon la color pie.

Les cartes Sol Ring (version "jour" pour Lorwyn) et Sol Ring (version "nuit" pour Shadowmoor), de l'édition Lorwyn Eclipsed Commander Decks et illustrées par Daria Aksenova, forment un diptyque et présentent deux particularités... :

L'illustration de la carte Safewright Cavalry, de l'édition Lorwyn Eclipsed, comporte un clin d'œil : il s'agit en effet de la centième carte illustrée par Milivoj Ceran.

Today is the exactly 10 years since I've got my very first assignment for Magic the Gathering!
And my 100th card was revealed!
So, on the 11th January 2016, I got my very first Magic the Gathering assignment - „Inefabble Blessing“. It was the peak of the 11 years of trying to break in. [...]
It is great coincidence that my 100th assignment was revealed in the same time as this 10th anniversary.
This 100th card is „Safewright Cavalry“, painted for Lorwyn Eclipsed art directed by Samantha Padilla.

Karona, False God est revenue à la vie au moment des disparitions et fusions conjointes de Phage the Untouchable et de Akroma, Angel of Wrath (ainsi que de Zagorka, par accident), suite à l'intervention de Kamahl, Fist of Krosa voulant mettre fin au combat entre Phage the Untouchable et Akroma, Angel of Wrath à l'aide de Soul Reaper, la hache de bataille habituellement portée par son allié Stonebrow, Krosan Hero.

La carte Jeong Jeong's Deserters est une réimpression fonctionnelle de Ironpaw Aspirant, à part pour les types de créature.
La carte Monk Gyatso fait référence au Dalaï-Lama. Tous les dalaï-lamas ont un nom de naissance puis un nom de "réincarnation", ce dernier contient le terme "Gyatso" (mer, océan) pour tous les dalaï-lamas à partir du deuxième (l'actuel Dalaï-Lama au 1er janvier 2026 se nomme Tenzin Gyatso).
À noter que le benjamin des enfants d'Aang et Katara s'appelle Tenzin dans La Légende de Korra, suite de la série TV animée Avatar, le dernier maître de l'air.
