Aujourd'hui j'aimerais parler d'un point de règles, le point 608.2b. Il a été changé dans Born of the Gods pour rajouter le point en gras, et voici
des exemples de situations que ça a changé depuis :
If the spell or ability specifies targets, it checks whether the targets are still legal. A target that's no longer in the zone it was in when it was targeted is illegal. Other changes to the game state may cause a target to no longer be legal; for example, its characteristics may have changed or an effect may have changed the text of the spell. If the source of an ability has left the zone it was in, its last known information is used during this process. If all its targets, for every instance of the word "target," are now illegal, the spell or ability doesn't resolve. It's removed from the stack and, if it's a spell, put into its owner's graveyard. Otherwise, the spell or ability will resolve normally. Illegal targets, if any, won't be affected by parts of a resolving spell's effect for which they're illegal. Other parts of the effect for which those targets are not illegal may still affect them.
If the spell or ability creates any continuous effects that affect game rules (see rule 613.10), those effects don't apply to illegal targets. If part of the effect requires information about an illegal target, it fails to determine any such information. Any part of the effect that requires that information won't happen.
J'aimerais vérifier que j'ai bien compris le principe de ce changement de règles sur 2 cartes un peu spécifiques...
Je lance
Fiery Confluence, et je choisis comme modes :
• Fiery Confluence deals 1 damage to each creature.
• Destroy target artifact (ciblant une créature-artefact 2/2 de mon adversaire)
• Destroy target artifact (ciblant un artefact non créature de mon adversaire)
En réponse, mon adversaire donne le linceul à la créature-artefact que j'ai ciblée. Du coup, est-ce que la Fiery Confluence lui inflige 1 blessure quand même ?
Question similaire avec
Very Cryptic Command B (Untap two ...) où je choisis comme modes :
• Untap two target permanents.
• Tap each permanent target player controls with exactly one word in its name.
J'ai évidemment ciblé pour le point 1 un permanent à un mot du joueur que j'ai ciblé avec le point 2 (parce que ce permanent était engagé, et que le dégager puis le réengager, c'était utile, mais oui). Mon adversaire lui donne la protection contre le bleu. Si je le dégage par un autre moyen avant la résolution du Very Cryptic Command, il sera engagé derrière par le Very Cryptic Command ?
